Fees

One of our greatest missions is keeping science accessible to everyone. It is, and it always will be free to apply, so don't let financial worries discourage you. We offer several need-based scholarships, and you can always reach out to us if you need help finding a sponsor.

Applicants who are selected to participate at the Summer School of Science have to pay a fee before the School starts. Details about payment methods will be provided after the selection process is completed. The fee is all-inclusive; it covers accommodation, food, excursion costs and course materials. However, students have to organize their own trip to and from the School, and cover their travel expenses.

Starting in 2024, we are introducing income-based fees. Fees are determined based on your family's annual income, and no one pays more than 1800 EUR, which reflects the real economic cost (per participant) of operating our program. Thanks to our sponsors and donors, we manage to offer a significantly discounted fee to applicants from lower-income households.

Applicants who do not have the financial means to afford any of the fees offered above may instead apply for a full or partial scholarship.

We are constantly working to find new sponsors in order to further reduce the fee for all participants. Please note that Summer School of Science is part of a non-profit organization and all our staff and mentors work pro-bono, so we do not run a profit on the School.
